VARSTROM Gearless Hub Kits Above 1000W

We start offering 48V 1000W rear hub motor kits from 2024 and now in 2026, we offer more high power kits such as 48V 1000W front hub motor kits and 48V 1500W rear hub motor kits.

Motor Installation Measurement

Before choosing a VARSTROM hub kit, we suggest customers first confirm the O.L.D (Over-Locknut Dimension) spacing of their bike frame or fork. Varstrom products have two O.L.D measurement standards: one including the Anti-rotation washer, and one excluding it. This motor's O.L.D dimension is measured without the torque washer, so suggested installation requires an additional 5mm+ of spacing.

The DIY hub kit's torque washer can be installed on either the inside or outside of the fork.

Wheel Size Information

VARSTROM offers the market's most popular wheel size range: 26-inch, 27.5", and 700C (which also supports 28" or 29" wheel diameters). Wheels are supplied without tires; customers should continue using their original bicycle tires or purchase new tires based on the specifications.

Varstrom eBrake Options

To better matching customer's existing brake system, VARSTROM provides power-cutoff mechanical brake levers and sensors. This device automatically stops the motor when braking which is a critical safety feature for e-bikes.

Display Options

All UART Display for BAFANG/VARSTROM will support our BAFANG hub kits, VARSTROM offers recommended displays in the product options for customers to choose.

Left PAS or Right PAS

All kits include a left-side small-hole PAS sensor. The right-side large-hole PAS sensor is available as an optional upgrade—customers can add it to their order if the standard sensor doesn't fit their setup.

Connection For The Controller

Unlike mid-drive motors, all hub motor systems currently feature external controllers. The controller is typically mounted on the seat tube (usually above the downtube battery), which makes cable routing more convenient for customers. If you're unfamiliar with the motor system wiring, you can refer to the conversion kit wiring diagram provided by VARSTROM.

Love this stuff

I use a manual wheelchair and have some hand strength issues. This shelf liner is all over my home not just as lining to protect surfaces but cut in various shapes for everyday use. The kitchen and bathroom have them for a little more grip to open bottles and containers. In the dining room, to put under plates or bowls, so that don't move around while I eat. The living room has a small toolbox, which holds a number of different sizes and shapes for the tools and for items like cables, I'm connecting to entertainment devices. For this purpose alone, it's definitely cheaper than the Mercedes version of grip material Dycem, as well as each Disabled Catalog's version of stuff that's just like this shelf liner. It's also a far better quality item than Dollar stores. Additionally it works great as it's described. SPECIFIC TO NAMED USE: As shelf liner it does take a little time to flatten out and stay in place in drawers. I use it puffy side up, which creates small indentations from items with any serious weight—stereo equipment comes to mind. A lot of the indentations will hold to the item that created them. To leave the liner where it lays, I always slightly lift each corner/foot of the item on the liner and release the liner, before lifting the whole object up. Imo the black looks better under devices on glass shelves. Microfiber dusting cloths are used on the liner and seem to do a pretty good job. That's said, with a weekly normal dusting done — weighted items are dusted where they're reachable, light weight shelved items moved, dusted, and open areas of liner on shelves dusted. PLUS once a month (1x) all items are moved thoroughly dusted and liners are "shaken out" and wiped down with a DAMP cloth. Shelf liner needs to be 100% dry, before putting it back on your shelves, especially before putting back electronics. The wet cloths used here, have just enough moisture to remove any remaining dust after a liner shaking but it doesn't feels wet to the touch, after damp wiping. But to err on the side of caution, the first shelf's liner and contents, are restored after the last shelf is done. Then each shelf subsequently follows. Personally as someone disabled, I find it to be a great item that does two jobs well.

Great Alternative Pet Use (Floor Traction)

I would definitely recommend these Grip Easy Shelf Liners - for an alternative use. We have a pet who struggles with mobility and slips on hard/smooth surfaces. We use this product as anti-slide mats to provide traction. While we also use rugs (etc.), these actually have a few unique benefits: - Customizable: They are made to be cut-to-size, so they can be adjusted for unusually shaped areas. - Waterproof (enough): Because they are rubber, they're great for use on the floor of the tub/shower for no-slip pet bathing - and can be rolled up for easy storage once dry. This also makes them easy to clean. - Travel-Friendly: They are thin, light, and soft enough to be rolled up tightly, making them great for travel. - Walking Paths: Because they are sold in long rolls, they can be used to create runways for commonly used grab paths (at far lower cost than carpet runners would be to cover the same area). - Low Cost: They are very cost-effective, making them easy options for trial (low-commitment to see if this works for you), seasonal, temporary (I wish we did this when my dog was recovering from knee surgery, for example), or supplemental use with additional solutions. So while I can't provide any information on how this product works for its intended use as a shelf/drawer liner, it works great for our alternate use case. I hope this information helps someone else!
